I believe that information should be free and I'm interested in the technologies that enable it's delivery. I've long been a supporter of the principles of net neutrality and I think they should be enshrined in law. At the same time I'm inspired by all the work that's gone into enforcing our rights digitally by building systems outside of the legal to protect free speech.

There's a new decentralized social media built around the [Nostr protocol](https://nostr.com/) which solves a lot of the centralization and [censorship problems Mastodon has](https://nostr.com/comparisons/mastodon). Similar also to [Secure ScuttleButt](https://ssbc.github.io/scuttlebutt-protocol-guide/) but without the focus on [local only asynchronous communication paradigm](https://nostr.com/comparisons/ssb) which solves some core usability problems with SSB.
